Dr. Simona Katona attended the International Dentist Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she received her DDS. She continued her education and completed a postgraduate residency program in Periodontics at UIC, where she served as chief resident.
Dr. Katona continues to teach as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics at UIC. She enjoys treating all aspects of periodontal disease, periodontal plastic surgery, hard and soft tissue regeneration and implant dentistry.
Dr. Katona is committed to providing excellent patient care and striving to achieve long-lasting, predictable results. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the Chicago Dental Society. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her young son and her family, traveling and swimming.
